I knit this one with Nine-Stitch Braid pattern but did not left area between the stiches. I gave it to my mother in law on Christmas.
Pattern for Nine-Stich-Graid
Upward Braid
Row 1 (right side) : knit
Row 2 and every even row : Purl
Row 3 cable 6 back, K3
Row 5 Knit
Row 7 K3,cable 6 front
Row 8 Purl
Reb these 8 rows

Downward Braid
Row1 (right side) : knit
Row2 and every even row: Purl
Row 3 Cable 6 front, K3
Row 5 Knit
Row 7 K3, cable 6 back
Row 8 Purl
Rep these 8 rows
This one I made knit stiches and knit , purl stiches with the 4 lines as you see in the pictures in colors, bottom and in the middle. I gave Thai friend"Neung" in Nesbraska.
