ไม่ใส่น้ำมัน อบแห้งๆ ใส่พริกไทย ซีอิ้วขาว น้ำตาลทรายนิดหน่อย
put vegetables , cellophane noodles and shrimp in a big pan , add pepper, soy sauce and sugar then cover the lid and turn on the stove until  shrimp change the color. Stir and continue cooking. If too dry add water.

พี่ลิซ่าเคยทำเมนูนี้ เมื่อวานทำบ้าง อร่อยดี เพื่อนทำกินกันนะค่ะ แล้วจะติดใจ กินกะแกง หรือ น้ำพริกยิ่งอร่อย

One of my Thai friend made this dish . It look really good so I made yesterday.  It is very easy to make as follow:

1. beat eggs  , add soy sauce and pepper and kale
2. heat oil and pour eggs
3. when one side well turn over

ทำงานอาสาฯ วันที่ สอง 2nd day volunteer at LACC

วันนี้ฝนตกพรำๆ แต่เช้าเลย ออกไปทำงานอาสาฯเป็นวันที่สองแล้ว ไปถึงโรงเรียนฝนหยุดพอดี วันนี้ไม่ต้องวนหาที่จอดรถนาน แต่จอดยากเหมือนกันเพราะรถหน้า หลัง จอดกันชิด ขยับไป ขยับมา แล้วก็ได้ช่องใหม่ รถที่จอดส่งเด็ก (เดา) ออกพอดี ได้จังหวะเสียบเลย วันนี้เอาไหมไปถักช่วงเด็กนอนด้วยไม่เบื่อล่ะ แต่ปรากฎว่ามีงานอื่นให้ทำ

เด็กๆๆ จะตื่นเวลา 14.30 หิวๆๆๆ ไปหม่ำก่อนดีกว่า ไปนั่งกินในรถ เวลา 13.30 อันที่จริงโรงเรียนมีอาหารเลี้ยง ก็เหมือนที่ให้เด็กๆๆนั่นล่ะ แต่กินกันเร็ว 11.00 โอ้ทกินข้าวเช้ามาแล้วยังไม่หิว ตั้งใจห่อข้าวไปกินทุกวันเพราะอาหารที่โรงเรียนดูแล้วไม่ถูกปาก

วันนี้อยู่ห้องเดิม และตั้งใจว่าจะอยู่ห้องนี่ไปเรื่อยๆ จนกว่าจะได้เริ่มทำงานและเลิกทำอาสาฯ มีครูคนเดียว ท่าทางจะเหนื่อยและยุ่ง เพราะเด็ก 8 คน ตอนจะกลับถึงเวลาออกไปเล่นสนามเด็กเล่น แต่ฝนตกพรำๆๆ ครูเลยไม่พาเด็กออกไป เดินกลับเข้าห้อง เด็กร้องไห้กระจองอแง อยากจะอยู่ช่วยต่อแต่ไม่ไหวแล้วเหมือนกัน กลับดีกว่า เจอกันใหม่วันพุธ

Sep 27,2010...Today is a second day  volunteer at LACC(Latin American Community Center) . It was raining since I left home but when I was there the rain stopped. I did not drive around today because there were spaces available in front of LACC but it was a bit hard to park. Well, I kept trying for awhile until one car left so I could park instead that car.

There was one teacher in the room I worked today. I could understand how hard to control  8-10 kids alone.

At the time for play ground was raining so the teacher did not take kids out. Kids were crying and it was my time to go home. I wanted to stay but I was tired so I decided to leave.

ใช้ผงพะโล้เพื่อนส่งมาให้ หลายเดือนแล้ว ยี่ห้อ"ถังทอง" หมักไก่ไว้ก่อนไปเรียนประมาณ ชั่วโมงครึ่ง กลับมจัดการผัดน้ำมัน กระเทียม น้ำตาลปึก แล้วใส่ไก่หมักลงไปผัด เติมน้ำนิดหน่อย เพราะไม่อยากกินหลายวัน พอไก่สุก เติมเต้าหู้ ปิดฝา อบแป้บนึง เสร็จจ้า ถ้าใครจะเติมไข่ก็ได้น่ะค่ะ ตามชอบค่ะ ภาพถ่าย ขณะ กำลังต้ม ควันโขมงเลย

I mixed before went to ESL class lastnight and cooked with I came back. It was about 1 and half hour.

Mixed chicken with chinese Five-spice Blend and let it stay about 1/2 hour to 1 hour . Heat little oil with garlic and brown sugar in a pan and then add mixing chicken.  Cook for 5 minutes then add little water. Continue cooking until the chicken done then add tofu and cover the lid for 10 minutes.

You can add boiled eggs too. For vegetarian  cook just boiled eggs and tofu.

ผัดเนื้อ หมูย่าง คะน้าผัดน้ำมันหอย... Beet stir fried, Grill pork and kale stir fried with oyster oil

ทำบ่อยเพราะดารินชอบ ใช้เนื้อสเต๊กเหมือนเดิม นุ่มอร่อย
I cooked beef stir fried often because Darin likes . I use beef steak because it soft and the taste is good .

ใช้หมูติดกระดูก หรือ เนื้อหมูก็ได้ หมักกับพริกไทย น้ำปลา ซีอิ้วขาว ผงกระเทียม อย่างน้อย 30 นาที แล้วใส่เตาอบใช้ไฟบน 20 นาที กลับ และ อบต่ออีก 15-20 นาที ดูหมูสุก ชอบเกรียมก็นานหน่อย
Grill pork : Mixed pork with pepper, fishsauce, soy sauce and garlic powder and let it stay for 30 minutes before put in the oven. Turn on Broil on the oven and cook for 20 then turn and continue cooking for 15-20  minutes until the pork cooked.

เริ่มงานอาสาวันแรก..My first day to do a volunteer at LACC

ตามเวลาที่แจ้งทางสถานที่ไว้คือ 10 เช้า ถึง บ่าย 3 ออกจากบ้าน 9.30 น. ทันเวลาถมเถแต่เสียเวลาวนรถหาที่จอดนี่ล่ะ วนอยู่ 4-5 รอบ เพราะที่จอดรถของโรงเรียนเล็ก จอดได้ประมาณ 10 คันเท่านั้น ต้องจอดริมถนน ซึ่งถนนทั้งเส้นจะมีป้ายกำหนดแค่ 2 ชั่วโมง ที่จอดได้ตลอดวันน้อยมาก ที่แน่ๆๆคือหน้าโรงเรียนก็ต้องวนกันหลายรอบกว่าจะได้จอด แล้วถนนตรงนั้นเป็นทางวิ่งทางเดียวอีกด้วย วนจนจะสายแล้วตัดสินใจจอดก่อน แล้วเดินไปโรงเรียน เจอเพื่อนพอดี เพื่อนบอกให้จอดที่ลานจอดรถได้ (ตอนแรกไม่รู้ว่าเป็นลานจอดของโรงเรียน วนเข้าไปแล้วถอยออก เพราะกลัวรถโดนลาก เนื่องจากที่นี่ถ้าไม่มีสติ๊กเกอร์ หรือไม่ได้รับอนุญาต รถจะโดนลากไปไม่รู้ตัว) เมื่อวนรถกลับมา มีที่ว่างหน้าโรงเรียนอยู่พอดี ตอนแรกเข้าจอดแล้วแต่ไม่พอเนื่องจากรถจอดติดกันมาก แต่รอบนี้รถคันที่จอดก่อนหน้าออกไป เลยพอเข้าได้

เพื่อนพาไปแนะนำกับเจ้าหน้าที่ ที่ติดต่อโอ้ท เจ้าหน้าที่ถามว่าจะเลือกเด็กอายุเท่าไร...ฮ่าฮ่า ตอบเลย ไม่รู้จ้า ไม่เคยทำงานแบบนี้มาก่อนเลย งานอาสาฯแรก และทำกะเด็กครั้งแรกด้วย เจ้าหน้าที่จัดให้เข้าห้องเด็กอายุ 1-3 ปี เป็นช่วงกำลังดีสำหรับฝึก หลายๆๆคนว่างี้ โอ้ยเด็กกำลังซนเชียว ในห้องนี้มีอาสาฯอยู่อีกคน เป็นคุณย่าแล้ว จะอยู่ 8 เช้า ถึงเที่ยง เอาละซิ จะทำอะไรละทีนี่ ดูครูละกัน เขาร้องเพลง โอ้ทก็ปรบมือ เด็กร้องไห้บ้าง แกล้งเพื่อนบ้าง มีเด็กหญิงคนนึงเดินมากอดโอ้ทด้วย... แล้วครูก็เอารูปมาให้เด็กระบายสี เราช่วยเด็ก แต่เมื่อครูเก็บรูป เด็กบางคนร้องไห้อีก โอ้ยๆๆๆ นี่ล่ะกลัวๆๆๆ เอาของเล่นให้เด็กเล่น ระหว่างที่ครูอีกคน เอาเด็กเข้าห้องน้ำ เปลี่ยนแพมเพิร์ส และครูอีกคนเปิดการ์ตูนให้เด็กดู ค่อยยังชั่วหน่อย เพราะเด็กจะสนใจการ์ตูน หลังจากนั้นได้เวลาอาหารกลางวัน ครูพาเด็กเดินไปห้องกินอาหาร โอ้ทช่วยดูเด็กไม่ให้หลงกลุ่ม สังเกตทุกครั้งที่ไปไหน ครูจะนับจำนวนว่าครบทุกคนหรือเปล่า ห้องนี้มี 10 คน

ในห้องอาหาร เด็กจะกินอาหารเองได้ สอนให้จับช้อน ก็จับกันได้แล้ว แต่ยังไม่มั่นคง เด็กจะใช้สองมือ ทั้งช้อนด้วย เลอะเทอะไปหมด จะเข้าไปช่วย ครูบอกว่าเด็กเขากินเองเป็นไม่ต้องช่วย

จากนั้นเดินกลับห้อง ได้เวลานอน ตอนเด็กนอนก็สงบ ประมาณ 1-1.30 ชั่วโมง เมื่อเด็กตื่นก็เวลากินของว่างอีกแล้ว ทุกมื้อจะมีนมให้เสมอ โอ้ทก็ช่วยจับเด็กให้นั่ง ให้อยู่ตรงที่ ที่ครูทำกิจกรรม เช่นครูร้องเพลงก็ให้อยู่ตรงกลุ่ม แต่ธรรมชาติของเด็กน่ะ ก็อยู่ไม่นิ่งเป็นธรรมดา

แต่สังเกตุว่า ครูจะทำให้เด็กร้องไห้บ่อยมาก ไม่รู้ว่าเป็นเพราะครูแต่ละคน หรือว่าเป็นวิธีสอน เห็นแล้วสงสาร เพราะเด็กเขาไม่รู้เรื่อง อยากเล่นนี่นา ที่โรงเรียนโอ้ทเห็นตารางเวลากำหนดตั้งแต่ 8 โมงเช้า ถึง 4 โมงเย็น ว่าต้องทำอะไรบ้าง ทุกห้องจะทำตามนั้น

โอ้ทก็พูดกะเด็กไม่รู้ว่ารู้เรื่องไม่รู้เรื่องพูดไป ครูจะพูดภาษาสเปนกันซะส่วนใหญ่ พูดกับเด็กสเปนปนอังกฤษ

แค่นี้ยังเหนื่อยเลย แล้ววันต่อไปเป็นไงน๊า แต่ที่แน่ๆ จะหาอะไรติดไปทำระหว่างเด็กหลับ เพราะไม่มีอะไรทำ คนเลี้ยงเด็กจะหลับไปด้วย

ปล.เพื่อนที่เรียนภาษาอังกฤษด้วยกันเป็นครูโรงเรียนอนุบาล(ที่นี่)บอกว่าโรงเรียนต้องการอาสาสมัครช่วยครู  โอ้ทคิดเสมอว่าตัวเองทำงานกับเด็ก โดยเฉพาะเด็กเล็กๆ ไม่ได้เพราะเวลาเด็กร้องไห้ทำอะไรไม่ถูก แต่คิดว่าอาจจะคิดไปเอง ดังนั้นเมื่อมีงานนี้จึงตัดสินใจพิสูจน์ซิว่าเพียงแค่คิดไปเองหรือว่าไม่ได้จริงๆ

Oct 22,2010...It is my first day to do volunteer at LACC(Latin American Community Center). I was there at 5 minutes to 10 o'clock. I drove around there 4-5 rounds to find parking . There were not many spaces can park all the time just 2 hours . It was late so I parked and walked to school. I met my friend " Gloria" at the front of school and let her knew about parking. She told me to park in the parking lot which small just enough for 10 cars. I went back to take my car and my luck because there was space in front of the school.

I was with 2 teachers in the class with 10 children the age between 1 to 3 years old. I did not what to do but I tried to follow the teachers and helped with looking the children. Teachers let them do painting, watching cartoon before lunch. I wanted to help children when they eat but a teacher said they knew how to eat just supervise them. I surprise all children can hold spoons..WoW!

After lunch is nap time. I realized it was the peace time and I need something to do not make me sleepy. I will bring my knitting and crochet next time.

I saw all teachers speak Spanish. They speak both Spanish and English with children. I speak with them too which I do not know if they understand but not a problem.

จำวันผิด เสียเงินเลย ว้า!...wrong remembering cost money

วันนี้ (21 ก.ย 53) ตื่นไม่ทันดาริน ลืมตาขึ้นมา 10 โมงกว่าแล้ว ยังอยากนอนต่ออีกนิดเพราะรู้สึกง่วงอยู่เลย แต่ตั้งใจจะขับรถไปดูเส้นทางสถานที่ทำงานอาสาสมัคร ...

(เพื่อนที่เรียนภาษาอังกฤษด้วยกันเป็นครูโรงเรียนเด็กเล็กบอกว่าที่โรงเรียนรับอาสาสมัคร เลยสมัครไป หาประสบการณ์ และฝึกภาษาอังกฤษไปด้วย กรอกใบสมัครเลือกทำจันทร์ กับ พุธ 10 เช้า ถึง บ่าย 3 ทางโรงเรียนติดต่อมาเมื่อวันจันทร์ให้ไปเริ่มวันพุธนี้ )

คิดถูกที่ไปดูเส้นทางก่อนไม่เช่นนั้นหลงอีกตามปกติ แต่ที่นี่หาง่ายหน่อย ไม่ต้องวนหลายรอบ โรงเรียนเป็นลักษณะศูนย์ดูแลเด็ก ไม่มีที่จอดรถ ต้องจอดข้างทาง แต่ดีที่อยู่ในซอยไม่ใช่ถนนใหญ่ เมื่อไปถึงก็จัดแจงเข้าไปสอบถามเจ้าหน้าที่ว่าถ้ามาทำงานจะจอดรถได้จุดไหนบ้าง เจ้าหน้าที่บอกจุด เพราะจะมีทั้งจอดได้ตลอดวัน กับได้เพียง 2 ชั่วโมง

ออกจากโรงเรียนแล้วตรงไปร้านยา เพราะทางร้านค้างยาทาตุ่มที่ถูกหมัดแมวกัดอีก 1 หลอด จากนั้นเลยไปช้อปปิ้งที่ทีเจแม๊กซ์ เพราะอยู่ไม่ไกลจากร้านยา ได้เครื่องสำอางค์มาฝากแม่ และ น้องที่กรุงเทพฯ และก่อนเข้าบ้านตรงไปห้องสมุด เอาดีวีดีหนังไปคืน และยืมใหม่ ปรากฎว่าเกินกำหนด 1 วัน อ้าว! จำอยู่ตลอดว่าคืนวันที่ 21 ดันเป็นวันที่ 20 ไปได้ นี่ละน๊า จำผิด เสียเงินเลย

พรุ่งนี้ไปเริ่มงานวันแรก จะได้ทำอะไรยังไม่รู้ หรือว่าจะได้อยู่กับเด็กเล็ก 3 ขวบ โอ้ยๆๆๆ เมื่อวานคุยกันในห้องเรียนว่า ถ้าเด็กกัด โอ้ทจะกัดเด็กกลับ...ฮ่าฮ่า

Today I got up late, about 10:00 am. Darin had already gone to work. I wanted to get back to sleep because I was still tired, but I planned to go to the LAC (Latin American Center) just to know the directions so I wouldn't get lost going there tomorrow for my first day there. I applied for a volunteer job there and I don't know what I'm going to be doing. It is my first volunteer job.

It was a good idea to go there the day before because I did not find the street I was supposed to turn on, but it was not difficult. I got there and went into the LAC, told the receptionist who I was, and asked her where I could park tomorrow.

After the LAC, I went to the pharmacy, went shopping at TJ Max and went to the library. I remembered the wrong date to return my DVD's, which were due yesterday, not today. OH! Remembering wrong costs money!

เค๊กส้ม..Orange cake

ทำเค๊กครั้งแรก ตั้งแต่ร่อนแป้ง และผสมส่วนผสมทั้งหมด เซอร์ไพรส์วันครบรอบวันเกิดดารินปีนี้ สูตรที่ใช้ไม่แน่ใจว่าเจ้าของสูตรพิมพ์ตก หรือว่าเขาใช้พิมเล็กแต่ไม่ได้บอกในรายละเอียดโอ้ทใช้พิม 9 นิ้ว ในสูตรใช้แป้งเพียง 1/2 ถ้วย ซึ่งโอ้ทดูสูตรอื่นๆๆ อย่างน้อย 2 ถ้วย เค๊กออกมาบาง ทุกคนบอกเสียงเดียวกันว่า แพนเค๊ก ไม่ใช่เค๊ก แต่รสแยมราดหน้าอร่อยถูกใจทุกคน ไม่เป็นไรคราวหน้าแก้มือใหม่ แต่ไงรอบนี้ก็ไม่เหลือนะจะบอกหั้ย...อิอิ

It was my first time to bake a cake. It was Darin's birthday cake. The cake was very thin and I am not sure if followed the recipe wrong or if I didn't notice that the recipe used a very small pan. The recipe said 1/2 cup of flour but other recipes said 2 or 2 and 1/2 cups. By the way, everyone loved the jam on top. I will bake again sometime though.

แง ๆ อดกิน... ทำไข่เค็มด้วย... Only bone left for me.

หลังจากคุยกับเพื่อนๆ แล้วได้ชื่อปลามา วันรุ่งขึ้น (17 ก.ย 53)ไปตลาดก็จัดการรี่ตรงไปที่แผนกปลาเลยทันที แล้วก็ได้ปลา ทิลาเปีย มา 1 ตัว วันนี้ได้กินปลาทอดสมใจ แต่เนื่องจากนัดกับเพื่อนไปเทศกาลเยอรมันใกล้ๆๆ ตอนค่ำ จึงจัดแจงทำอาหารเตรียมไว้ล่วงหน้า ดารินมาจะได้กิน มีปลาทอด น้ำจิ้มสามรส (แต่ไม่ราดเพราะปลาจะนิ่ม) และ ผักคะน้าต้ม ตั้งใจกินปลาเต็มที่ให้สมกับความอยาก (อยู่มา สองปีกว่าเคยกินปลาทอดราดพริกครั้งเดียวที่ร้านอาหารไทยง) เลยไม่กินอาหารที่เทศกาลเยอรมัน

After talking with friends to find out what kind of fish I could buy for cooking, the next day(Sept. 17) I went food shoppimg and went directly to the seafood section. I got a medium talapia. Yeah! I was really happy because in the 2 years that I have been here I have eaten fish just once at a Thai restaurant. I cooked early because I had an appointment with friends to go "Oktober Festival tonight". I cooked fish with sauce and boiled kale and left it ready on the counter for Darin. I did not pour sauce on the fish because it would have made the fish too soft before eating. I did not buy food at the festival, just tried a little with friends because I had fish waiting for me at home.

But when I came home...this was all that was left...

หิว ๆ ดีนะมีไข่เค็มพี่ยุช่วยชีวิต จัดการกับน้ำพริกเผาทำเอง(สูตรพี่ยุ) กับแตงกวา ...ค่อยยังชั่ว

OH I was starving. What was I going to eat then? AH! There were pickled eggs which friends had sent me from Alabama. I ate them with fried chili paste and cucumber. SO GOOD!

ไข่เค็มที่ตั้งใจจะแบ่งให้บิ๋มด้วย ไม่มีเหลือแล้ว งั้นไม่รีรอ ลงมือทำซะเลย แต่หาไข่เป็ดไม่ได้อะจ้า

I planned to share pickled eggs from friend  with Bim but I ate them all, so I made my pickled eggs that night right away. We will see what my pickled eggs look like in 3 weeks.

Summer not slimmer 😁

I love summer. It is my favorite season because I can stay outside the house without my body shaking. There are many interesting activities in summer.






We were on a road trip from home in Delaware to home in North Dakota. It was my first road trip in the USA and also my first summer in North Dakota. Of course I loved it without snow.









We spent 14 days on the trip. I had a chance to visit a friend in Nebraska and stayed one night with her.










We also went to the Omaha zoo, it was awesome. After we left my friend we did not go directly home  to North Dakota yet. As my desire and aim on this trip was to see Mt. Rushmore so we went directly to Key-stone, South Dakota . Darin planned it for me. Yeah! my dream came through.














I saw the real Mt. Rushmore. We spent one more night around there because we still wanted to go to other places such as to ride the helicopter  around Mt. Rushmore, went to Rushmore cave,reptile garden where I impressed to see giant turtles. The Reptile garden had a crocodile show too that made me think about the crocodile farm in my home country. I said to Darin if these tourist see the crocodiles show in Thailand they will love it a lot because it's more fun and more exciting than here. From the garden we went to bear country just a few minutes from Reptile garden . I liked this place because we can see wild animals close; such as bears,wolves,goats,lions...etc by driving the car around. I thought the zoo in Thailand ,named"Safari" ,was the same kind as here but I have never been yet. There were school for bear babies in the park seperated. When I saw them I thought they were not bears. We also went to Crazy horse and Devils tower.






In North Dakota, Darin took me to Theodore National Park. At first I thought everyone paid the fee just for passing on the road but I realized after awhile it was actually we paid the fee. The park was huge.I saw many hiking trials in the park. If we have chances to hike there I am sure it would be really fun more than the trails we went on in Delaware. Darin drove to Bowman Dam  and looked around for his aunt. I knew there were many beautiful places in North Dakota I did not see yet. We also visited a couple of Thai friends on our way back to Delaware , one friend in Wisconsin and  another one in Pitsburg .







We went to the sky deck in Chicago.It was the last place before we got home.






At home in Delaware we went hiking almost every weekend on most of the trials in White Clay Creek State Park. We went to other parks too such as Lums Pond State Park with a big pond. I thought , next summer I will go back to Lums Pond park and rent a boat. We went to Brandywine Creek State Park. It was a nice park too but did not impress me. I also spent sometimes by myself, went to Augustin beach and Brandywine Park to take the pictures of me. Did you wonder how I do that? I have a tri-pod. He is the best photographer...haha.

Summer is over soon then I am preparing to meet  the cold again. Ewww!

ไปไม่ถึง...Lost

วันนี้ 6โมงเย็น มีปาร์ตี้ประจำปีของกลุ่ม อีเอสแอล (ESL= English as second language) ที่โอ้ทเรียน เป็นปีที่สอง ทำอาหารไปร่วมด้วย แต่งตัวสวยกว่าทุกวัน ออกจากบ้าน 5.30 เพราะจากแผนที่่ที่ปริ้นมาบอกว่า 15 นาที (ก่อนออกจากบ้านถ่ายรูปก่อน นานๆๆจะแต่งตัวสวยแบบนี้..อิอิ)

This evening I went to the ESL picnic but I did not get there because I GOT LOST!

I left home about 5:30 pm. On the map I had gotten from googlemaps it said about 15 minutes to get there but I found I had the address wrong. Darin called me many times. He kept asking where was I. I did not know where I was but I told him to please wait for me while I tried to get there. My teacher called me too. He told me the place was on Route 4 but I was on another road. Finally after I drove around I was on Route 4 but the new problem was that I had no idea which way I was supposed to go. Darin called again so I asked him the name of the street and decided to go back to my starting point close to home. I kept driving on Route 4 and kept looking for the street Darin told me. I did not see it but I did not give up either. I told Darin earlier that if he wanted to go home that would be OK, but he was waiting for me at a pizza store. I was still on Route 4 and kept looking for the street. I was at a place that I had been at for the third time when I finally saw Darin's car at a pizza store parked across the street. I did a U-turn, When I met him I told him what had happened. He did not get upset or angry with me. I called and asked my teacher if the picnic was still going or if they were ready to be finished. My teacher said they were cleaning up, so I decided to go home.

ระหว่างทางดารินโทรมาถามเพราะไปถึงแล้ว (ชวนไปด้วยกันเพราะไม่มีเพื่อนไป) คิดว่าน่าจะอีกไม่เกิน 20 นาทีถึงจากแผนที่ ดารินโทรมารอบสอง โอ้ทกำลังวนๆๆ รอบสองเหมือนกัน เพราะเส้นทางที่ไปเป็นทางตัน ไม่มีสถานที่ตามเป้าหมาย ถามที่อยู่ดาริน เลขที่ถูกต้อง พยายามจะป้อนข้อมูลใส่จีพีเอสที่ยืมเพื่อนไปก็ไม่สำเร็จเพราะจีพีเอสมีข้อมูลจำกัดให้เลือก ป้อนเพิ่มเติมไม่ได้ (หรือใช้ไม่เป็นก็ไม่รู้) ดารินโทรมาอีก ตอนนี้บอกถนนไป ปรากฎว่าชื่อถนนเหมือนกัน ต่างกันที่ต้องไปที่ตะวันออก (East) โอ้ทบอกดารินว่าจะหาทางไปให้ได้ รอก่อน และแล้วครูก็โทรมาว่าโอ้ทจะไปหรือเปล่า ครูบอกว่าต้องไปถนนสาย 4 ไม่ใช่ถนนที่โอ้ทอยู่ ...จีพีเอสก็ยังใช้ไม่ได้อยู่ดี ขับวนไปวนมาที่เดิม 3 รอบ ตัดสินใจไปเส้นใหม่ แล้วก็ไปโผล่ถนนสาย 4 ดารินโทรมาอีก สองรอบ บอกซอยที่ต้องเข้า โอ้ทก็วนๆๆๆอยู่ที่เดิมอีก 2 รอบ เป็นถนนสาย 4 แต่ด้วยที่ไม่มีที่อยู่แน่นอน เลยไม่รู้จะไปทางไหน ตัดสินใจวนกลับไปทางบ้าน แล้วเริ่มต้นใหม่...
I cooked qualiflower, carrot and pork stir fried with chillipaste but everyone missed it.





ระหว่างนั้นโทรบอกดารินว่าถ้าอยากกลับบ้านก็กลับเลย แต่โอ้ทจะหาทางไป อยากรู้ว่าสถานที่อยู่ไหน ขณะนั้นก็ล่วงเลยไปชั่วโมงแล้ว ดารินบอกชื่อซอยที่ต้องเลี้ยวให้ แล้วว่ากินพิซซ่ารอ เจอกันร้านพิซซ่า โอ้ทขับตามถนนสาย4 ไปเรื่อยๆ มองหาซอยที่ดาดารินบอก แต่แล้วก็กลับมาจุดเดิมที่วนอยู่ก่อนหน้า 2 รอบแต่ไปไม่ถูก เพราะไม่รู้จะไปทางไหนดี ในตอนแรก มุ่งหน้าไปเรื่อยๆ บนถนนสาย 4 มองหาซอยที่ดารินบอก แต่ไม่เห็นมี แต่ด้วยสอดส่ายสายตาตลอดทาง มองเห็นรถดารินจอดอยู่หน้าร้านพิซซ่าริมถนนพอดี ยูเทิร์นรถเลี้ยวป้าดดดดดดดดดดดดด เข้าไป จอดรถแล้วโทรหาดาริน กับเวลาเดียวกันที่มองเห็นดารินในร้านพอดี เข้าไปหาแล้วเล่า...แล้วถามว่าสถานที่อยู่ไหน ดารินบอกทางและก็อีก 2-3 เลี้ยว แค่ฟังก็ มีนแล้ว ขณะนั้น ทุ่มกว่าแล้ว โทรหาครูถามว่าที่งานเป็นยังไง ใกล้เลิกหรือยัง ถ้าเข้าไปตอนนั้นจะดีไหม ครูบอกกำลังเก็บกันพอดีเลย แล้วบอกว่า เขาเองก็หาทางกว่าจะเจอยากเหมือนกันเพราะไม่มีป้าย..สรุปว่ากลับบ้าน อาหารที่ทำไปก็เก็บมากินเอง แถมไข่เค็มที่พียุส่งมาให้มาถึงวันนี้ด้วย กินซะเลย 2 ฟอง อร่อยๆๆๆๆ มาก

I got home with straving so I ate my stir fried with rice and also pickle eggs which my friend send from Alabama arrived. I ate pickle eggs with stir fried and rice. So good.

เล็กแต่น่ากลัว..Tiny but scary

วันนี้ไปหาหมอมาแล้ว บอกหมอไปว่าโดนหมัดแมวกัด (ไม่รู้ภาษาไทยเรียกแบบนี้หรือเปล่า) เป็นตุ่มแดงบนหลังเท้า สองข้าง แขน และขา
หมอถาม:เป็นนานแค่ไหน
โอ้ท:2 สัปดาห์แล้ว เพิ่งรู้เมื่อวันอาทิตย์ เพราะสามีเห็นตัวบนเตียง..อี๋ยๆๆๆ
หมอ:ตัวนี้กระโดดไหม
โอ้ท : ใช่ๆๆๆ
หมอ: แบบนี้เป็นตุ่มได้ทั่วตัวเลย เพราะเวลานอน เป็นระดับที่เจ้าตัวนี้กระโดดถึง
จากนั้นโอ้ทขอยาเพิ่มให้ดารินด้วย หมอบอกว่าต้องจำกัดเจ้าตัวนี้ ไม่เช่นนั้นก็ไม่หาย
โอ้ยๆๆๆ แบบนี้จะขึ้นหัวไหมเนี่ย คันๆๆๆๆๆด้วย
I went to see the doctor already. I told him that we just found out on Sunday that the bugs that bit us were tiny bugs from a cat. The doctor said lice but when he asked me if they jumped and I said "yes" he said they were "Fleas". I tried to think what they are called in Thai. I know the bugs from dogs in Thai but the bugs from cats I have no idea.

The doctor said I could have red spots all over my body and I said yes I have them on my hip and neck too. The doctor said that fleas can jump only low but when we lay down in bed it is easy for them to bite all the body.

He gave me creams and pills for the itching and I asked him for extra for Darin. The doctor said that we have to get rid of the bugs because if they are still in the house we will never get well. Ewww!

Tiny bugs, but so scary. I'm worrying if they are on my head.

เนื่องจากเราพบตัวต้นเหตุของตุ่มแดง และคันบนขาของเรา สองคน นั่นคือ มังกี้มีหมัด (ใช่หมัดหรือเปล่าหว่า เพราะไม่เหมือนหมัดหมา) ตอนดารินบอกครั้งแรก ตกใจ เพราะนึกถึงหมัดหมากินเลือดเป่ง โอ้ยหยอง

ดารินเจอแมลงเล็ก เล็ก บนเตียง บอกว่านี่ละมากัดเราตอนเราหลับ บอกให้โอ้ทรื้อเตียงเอาทุกอย่างซัก โอ้ทเอาหมอนออกตากแดดด้วย โชคดีที่เมื่อวานมีแดด เพราะฝนตกมาสองวันแล้ว ตอนเย็นดารินกลับมาจัดดการเอายาใส่หลังเจ้าสามเหมียว เป็นยาจำกัดสัตว์อันไม่ประสงค์ ที่หมอให้มาแต่ยังไม่ได้ใช้ แล้วฉีดยาฆ่าแมลงในห้องนอน และพื้นห้องข้างล่าง โอ้ทจะไปหาหมอวันนี้ ไม่ไหวแล้วคันมาก จนเส้นเลือดที่เท้าปูดเลย

เมื่อวานเพิ่งอ่านเรื่องคนเป็นตุ่มเพราะหมัดกะเพื่อนอยู่เชียว กลายเป็นเรื่องของตัวเองซะวันนี้

ดารินบอกว่า เสาร์อาทิตย์นี้จะใช้เคมีที่มีควันสำหรับกำจัดแมลง และเราต้องออกไปอยู่นอกบ้านสองชั่วโมง จะเอาสามเหมียวไปให้หมอทำความสะอาด ถ้าหลังจากนั้นยังไม่หายจะตามผู้เชี่ยวชาญจำกัดแมลงแล้วล่ะ

"THANK YOU",Monkey, for giving us trouble, Darin said to our little cat before he left for work. We just found what caused us to have red spots on our legs for the last 2 weeks. Monkey has "tiny bugs". OH! On Sunday morning Darin came down and told me.
Darin: "Monkey has lice"

Oath:"What is it?"
Darin:"tiny bugs I found in the bed. Could you clean and wash everything on the bed?"
Oath:"sure"
I washed everything on the bed, sheets, pillows, blankets and the bed cover, and took all the pillows outside in the sun yesterday morning. Darin put medication on all 3 of the cats and sprayed a chemical all over the floor in the bedroom and the main room.

It was funny, I just read a story about a man who went to the doctor because he had red spots on his legs and the doctor said he had fleas. This story is mine!
Last night I saw that Monkey kept scratching his body, so I looked at him and found many bugs...are they lice? That scared me a lot. We are sure that the bugs come from Monkey because we never had them before. I am going to see the doctor because last night my feet itched so bad. Darin said after work he would go to the vet to get medication and on the weekend will use a chemical "bomb" (I don't know what it's called) and we and the cats must stay outside for 2 hours. Darin said "if this does not work I will call a professional".

โอ้ทไม่รู้ข้อมูลสถานที สนใจอ่านที่นี่ ข้อมูลและรายละเอียด Mt.Rushmore history(ภาษาอังกฤษจ้า)

ที่นี่เป็นสถานที่ 1 ใน 2 ที่อยากไปตั้งแต่เป็นเด็ก เห็นในทีวี อีกที่คือน้ำตกไนแองการ่า จะได้ไปหรือเปล่ายังไม่รู้ ตื่นเต้นมากเลยเมื่อไปถึง ระหว่างขับรถขึ้นเขาสามารถมองเห็นหน้าแกะสลักแต่ไกลทีเดียว สูงใหญ่แค่ไหนก็ลองนึกๆ เดาๆๆ กันก็แล้วกันนะค่ะ

This the one of two places I wanted to go since I was young . The second place is Niagara fall. I saw them on TV. WoW! how big it is? we can see Mt. Rushmore on the way up.

ค่าจอดรถ เหมือนกับสวนสาธารณะทุกที่ ที่ไปมาแล้ว จะเก็บค่าจอดรถไม่ใช่ค่าผ่านประตู ที่นี่ถือว่าไม่แพง 10 ดอลล่าร์ต่อปี แต่สำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวต่างรัฐ ที่มาไกลคงไปได้ปีละครั้ง เพราะหมดเขตสิ้นเดือนธันวาคม ช่วงนั้นคงจะหนาวน่าดูเชียว แถมหิมะตกด้วยละก็ การเดินทางไม่สะดวกแน่ๆๆ

เมื่อไปถึงก็จัดแจงตั้งกล้องขอก่อนเลย 1 ภาพ เพราะคนเยอะมากๆๆ อีกอย่างต่างคน ต่างเดินกับดารินด้วย จะไม่ได้รูปคู่ง่ายๆๆ เพราะอีกคนมัวแต่ถ่ายรูป อีกคนก็เดินไม่สนใจ..ฮ่าฮ่า

This background was great . I loved it.

เข้าไปจนถึงสุดทางจุดชมวิว ตั้งกล้องอีกรอบ วันนั้นแดดจัดมากๆๆ มองอะไรก็ไม่เห็นชัด ยืนแอ๊กไป แอ๊กมา ไม่รู้ว่ากล้องถ่ายหรือยังไม่ถ่าย

At the viewpoint I set my camera to automatic mode again. It was a really sunny day and so I couldn't see the indicator light to see if the picture had been taken yet. We were standing and counting then.

ตรงนี้ไม่รู้ว่าเป็นกระโจมอะไร มองหาป้ายไม่เจอ ไม่มีอธิบาย เหมือนเต้นท์อินเดียแดง อ่านในข้อมูลคงมีบอกไว้ (ไกด์ถ่ายแต่รูป ไม่รู้ประวัติ)

I did not know what this was for. I looked around to see if there was a description but could not see any. I think the Wikipedia says something about it.

ก่อนเดิน ขอสักภาพ..ไปไหนไปกันเลย หนุ่มสามขา เป็นอีกภาพที่บอกให้ดารินถ่ายให้ (แม้ว่าจะเบื่อแม่บ้านแล้วก็ตาม แต่ก็ถ่ายให้)

Before we started walking I asked Darin to take a photo of me. I knew he was bored at my crazy  photo taking but he still takes photos for me sometimes. See I have a tri-pod with me always.
